I just don't understand why husbands can't do a few simple little things on the weekend to help with keeping things updated and running properly. I have been asking my husband to do something for months for our children and it hasn't been done yet. We need some plumbing work done, just some minor things that he can handle and it has yet to be done so I have to go another week with it messed up and hope it gets done next weekend. Today his mom called and of course he comes running to tell me he is going there to work on her car. She is retired and doesn't need to drive from what I heard earlier today so if she needs something her daughter who lives a few doors down can get it for her or take her.
I just can't get over how my husband drops everything for them but he won't do a damn thing for me. I thought I was the one he loved and married.
It may be that I just can't stand his family in the first place but I just don't see any reason to be any where near them because they smoke and they always smell like a freaking tar factory. I hate the holidays because they smell so bad. Every gift my children get smells like cigarettes and I end up taking it from them before they make it home and I trash them. I hate to be the bad guy here but my children are allergic to cigarettes and they break out just from the smell of them.
I just can't stress how much I really hate his family. They always try to take my children away from my arms when I have them and they want me not them. I mean my children don't know them so why would my children want to come to them when they get hurt or they just want their momma to hold them.
Am I wrong for wanting to keep my children healthy and away from the smell of cigarettes? I am just not into wanting to keep paying the doctors to keep them healthy when all it takes is keeping them away from his family. Am I wrong for wanting my husband to stay home and fix some things around the house and not go fix things for his mom? I mean she does have a daughter who is married and he has 2 boys old enough to do things for her so can't they do some things to help out? Let me know what you think.
